GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE BY INVITATION ONLY FOR 2024 (Step 1)
This year, we will accept grant applications by INVITATION ONLY. If you would like to apply, you may request an invitation to apply by emailing a formal letter in PDF format to our Executive Directors (contact information below). We will accept these letters from June 3 until July 1. This letter should include the following:
Organization Name
Contact Information
Executive Summary
The Executive Summary should mention key elements of the proposal, the overall mission and work of your organization and the impact this grant request will have. This document will, in essence, tell the story of your nonprofit and request in a summarized form. Please keep the summary to 500 words or less.
Grant Request Information
Title of Grant Request
Description of Grant Request (250 words or less)
Amount of Grant Request
Total Project Budget
*Please note your request must fit within our mission of serving children and their families in need in the North Texas area.
Upon reviewing the letters, our Executive Directors will reach out by or before July 15 to request a formal application submission. You will have until August 26 to complete the application. If you do not hear back from us with an invitation to apply this year, we encourage you to reach out next year.
APPLICATION (Step 2)
Elizabeth Toon Charities accepts the Common Grant Application supported by Communities Foundation of Texas. Please review the application carefully as we included slight changes that apply specifically to our organization. Use this link to apply.
Please note: Due to the date of our board meeting, a minimum of three months is usually required from the time an application is submitted until the grant is approved or declined. You will receive a letter stating the status of your application by the middle of November.
As a reminder, current policy requires each grant recipient to sit out of the process for two full grant cycles after receiving funding. For example – Beneficiaries that were selected for 2024 are eligible to apply again in 2026 (pending submitting formal letter of request to apply as seen above).
SITE VISIT/INTERVIEWS (Step 3)
After your application has been submitted, Elizabeth Toon Charities will contact you to complete a site visit or call to review the request and ask any further questions. We will not schedule these calls/site visits until your application is complete.
Should you be selected as a Beneficiary this year, the funds will then be presented in the summer 2025 after our annual event.
