Winter 2011 Newsletter

Letter From the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Larry Toon

As 2011 winds down, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for your support of Elizabeth Toon Charities over the past 5 years. As we approach our sixth year, we find happiness in looking back on the milestones achieved and the children and families that we have helped. We are pleased to announce that this year we have provided gifts to twice the number of organizations than in previous years. With your help, Elizabeth Toon Charities has supported 20 well-deserving groups. We are so thankful to be sponsored by some of Dallas’ most notable and respected businesses such as Jones Lang LaSalle, Lincoln Property Company, Sewell Automotive Companies, Capital Commercial Investments and American Airlines. All of this is a result of your generous giving of time and resources. We have the best group of supporters, volunteers and corporations and we truly can’t thank you enough.

It was just five years ago that we lost sweet Elizabeth, and today we reflect on the hundreds of children that her life has continued to touch. We are so proud of what the organization has become and the children and families we support. With each of your generous donations, you are a part of helping lift up those lives all over our community. Your contributions help make a difference in the lives of children suffering from abuse, educational disadvantages, homelessness, foster care, terminal illness and physical challenges.

With your continued support, we look forward to growing our mission in 2012. Please consider making an end-of-the-year tax deductible donation to Elizabeth Toon Charities using the Donate link below. On behalf of our Board of Directors and our extraordinary Events Planning Committee, thank you for supporting Elizabeth Toon Charities. On behalf of my family, thank you for your love and friendship.

Have a wonderful Holiday season!

5th Annual Elizabeth Toon Concert and Shootout

Thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers and attendees of the 5th Annual Elizabeth Toon Concert and Shootout for making it our most successful year yet. We raised $466,570 this year!  It was an amazing two days with 1,600 people attending the concert followed by 400 shooters at the Dallas Gun Club.  We cannot thank you all enough for the tremendous support.  It is because of all our sponsors, volunteers and committee members that Elizabeth’s legacy is continued through the wonderful 12 children’s charities we are supporting this year.   We look forward to seeing you all next year!
